Product Information
In applications requiring an additional supply air fan, Specific systems makes available an explosion-proof auxiliary supply fan. Best used in applications where purging and repressurization of an area would be best completed very quickly, this 12” fan is capable of flowing between 800 and 1140 cfm into an area. The extra supply air fan can assist in meeting ASHRAE 90.1 standard for fresh air in occupied spaces.
The auxiliary supply fan also acts as a secondary backup or extra purging fan in case pressurization in the area drops below a preset limit. This fan helps to purge and repressurize the area more quickly than a HVAC unit alone.
The provided fan is a multi-blade 12” glass reinforced polypropelene fan. A 0.5 horsepower motor drives the fan at approximately 1425 RPM (at 50 Hz, 1Ø). The fan includes an air pressure monitor to ensure that air is flowing through the damper.
The explosion proof auxiliary supply fan generally requires use of a stack package, available through Specific Systems.
A pressure sensor determines that the fan is working. The sensor uses Form C dry contacts to enable quick and simple integration into existing alarm systems.
