Specific Systems standard heater systems are available on all AirPak units, in standard heating capacities from 10KW to 40KW. All capacities are installed with 2-stage heating, allowing the unit to draw only the power needed to compensate for given conditions.

Specific Systems standard heaters are open coil elements constructed using Nikrothal NXT wire. This wire is a combination of specialized alloys that has performance that equals or surpasses N60, and is far superior when compared to N40.
The NXT coils use .375” diameter consistent pitch windings and a rounded coil return. Use of double plane steatite insulators and point suspension techniques allow full coil exposure to the airflow. Anti-rotation insulating terminators ensure a sturdy and electrically sound connection.
Wiring from the duct heater to control equipment is not provided, and must be performed in accordance with appropriate hazardous location standards.
